Hearing Block 4, Melbourne

The Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion will hold its fourth hearing block in Melbourne from Monday 13 July 2026 to Friday 17 July 2026.

Scope

Hearing Block 4 will examine:

  • Lived experiences of antisemitism and its impacts on Jewish students and academics at Australian universities. 
  • Responses by universities to combat antisemitism experienced by students and academics.
  • Reports, surveys and studies addressing the nature and prevalence of, and responses to, antisemitism at Australian universities and other educational institutions.

Location

Hearing Block 4 will be held at 11 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. There is limited public seating at the venue. Members of the public can view the livestream of the hearings on the Royal Commission's website.

Applications for leave to appear

The Royal Commission invites persons who consider they have a direct and substantial interest in the scope of this hearing block to make an application for leave to appear by no later than 4:00pm (AEDT) on Friday 3 July 2026.
